Those travelling from abroad and also from far states of India, the nearest airport to Khajjiar is in Kangra Airport 117 km which is in Gaggal. The nearest railway station from the place is in Pathankot 97 km. From the airport and station, one can hire a taxi.

The months from March to November are the best time to visit Khajjiar.
